MYOB User Group
The user group has taken a tremendous weight off my shoulders – MYOB User
MYOB was a market leading PC and Mac business management suite that was discontinued in the UK in 2010.
Simple Accounting Ltd is a supporting professional partner of an association of UK/ Irish MYOB users, the MYOB User Group.
Although MYOB (Australia) has said they will continue to confirm MYOB datafiles this is an incomplete service. The telephone code checking service has been turned off. The web service doesn’t work with recent operating systems. Some users are already having problems obtaining codes. The User Group provides support and security for users. It has a systems engineer working for the group, willing to repair and create new MYOB datafiles.
The Association was formed some years ago to allow MYOB users to continue to use the software they had paid for. The Association distributes confirmation codes and also to provide advice for MYOB users. There is a membership fee to help pay for the time spent developing the software tool used and supporting users on the phone. The membership fee is £35 annually.
Each applicant has to prove they have a valid MYOB licence to obtain membership. This is to prevent people getting hold of confirmation codes inappropriately. The association offers a helpline to allow MYOB users to be able to continue to use the software they have each paid MYOB for.
